APF - ASAGBA SUMMIT '97

THE SUMMIT OF THE ASAGBA, ASABA LEADERSHIP COUNCIL AND ASABA PROGRESSIVE FRONT (APF)

To be held in Asaba - Dec. 31st 1997


MANDATE

Following the meeting of the executives of Asaba Progressive Front and the subsequent unanimous consent by the house, the Asaba progressive Front has decided to send a high powered delegation to Asaba to have a summit with Asagba of Asaba and the leadership of Asaba.

PURPOSE OF SUMMIT

  1. Tell Asaba people who APF is.
  2. Find out what is needed in Asaba in order of priority and how APF can help achieve them.
  3. Establish a laison/volunteers with a few key people who are going to undertake and supervise all APF's projects.
  4. Open and maintain a line of communication with the Asagba and the leadership.

THE CORE ISSUES
  • Land ownership
    The issue of sale and resale of Lands in Asaba. How to modernize our title system to help eliminate the problems of sale and resale of lands to multiple parties.
  • Transportation issues
    How to bring effective mass transit to Asaba and what Apf can do to accomplish it.
  • The Issue of Health
    How to organize mass vacinations for the elimination of common allergies/diseases
  • The issue of cleanliness/repairs
    How to help with the issue of cleaning up our public institutions of learning and other public buildings, most of which has fallen into deterioration and disrepair.
THE DELEGATION
The delegation shall comprise the following members.
  • Mr Chris (interpol) Chukwura
  • Mr Ephraim Ngozi Okotcha
  • Mr Patrick Ejinkonye
  • Mr Eugene Igbeka
  • Mr Joe Dansaba

THE DELEGATION AND THEIR TASKS

This delegation is to be led by the president of Asaba progressive Front: Honorable Mr Interpol Chukwura.
Based on unanimous consent,by the whole house, APF has assigned the following chores to its delegation.
  • Chris Interpol Chukwura and Eugene Igbeka Must arrive at Asaba early to make all the necessary pre-summit arrangements including but not limited to securing the date,meeting with the Asagba and members of the ruling council for the pre-summit dialogue, making arrangement for location of the summit and organizing the drinks and food for the summit.
  • Ephraim Okotcha and Steve Nezianya are to design and print the invitation and the brochure and program of this event including putting this information on the internet. Ephraim Okocha has also been directed to call all the key Asaba leaderships that own a telephone.

DELEGATES MUST:

  • Provide video coverage of this historic meeting for posterity.
  • Visit and take photographs of important historical and cultural locations in Asaba to highlight their conditions.
  • Observe and document all information,discussions etc. during and after the summit for APF general briefing.
  • Maintain the tradition of Asaba during the meeting even when you disagree.
  • MAKE APF PROUD.
